This creature is a mutation of a Terraformer and a Trilobite. The Deacon shares a similiarlity with the aliens species from LV and Earth. Appearances in the following; Prometheus film Prometheus: Fire and Stone. Prometheus film. The Trilobite emerged from the Med Lab and attacked and impreganted the Terraformerit laid an alien creature in it, this alien later erupted from the Terraformer's chest, almost fully formed with a light silver blue skin colour.
Prometheus film A Deacon only appears in the film Prometheus. The creature that erupted from the Terraformer was similiar to a mural that was found in the Ampule Room in the Templewhich was found by Shaw and examined further by Holloway. Ridley Scott's film Prometheus, originally conceived as a direct prequel to Alien, ends with the birth of a creature noted for its similarity to those in the Alien franchise.
Will the Deacon from Prometheus be in Alien: Covenant?
Scott christened the creature the "Deacon" in reference to its oblong head, which resembles a bishop's mitre. Designer Neal Scanlan said that the Deacon's appearance had to reflect its complex genetic heritage: "It came from Shaw and Hollowaywhich then produced the Trilobitewhich impregnated the Engineerwhich then mixed its DNA with the Trilobite.
We tried to hold on to some of Shaw, some femininity since it was born of a female before being born of a male. According to Neal Scanlan, the Deacon "represented the beginning of Giger's Alienalthough it did not directly resemble that creature. Its pharyngeal jaw was inspired by that of the goblin shark. The final design of the Deacon however was chosen by Ridley and Scanlan who then showed the designs to H.
Giger who then designed his own versions, which were ultimately not considered for the film. Were as the Ultramorph pre Deacon was originally envisioned as featuring more Gigeresque like, the Deacon took it's references from a Goblin Shark. Along with Richard Stammers visual effect supervisor on Prometheus Neal Scanlan's team worked on the creation of the creatures and the terraformers models in the film. The Engineer's dummy was operated from beneath the set, puppeteers controlled the creatures so it appeared to convulse before the Deacon erupted and fell on the floor.
In this sequence, the Deacon was a combination of a rod puppet with digital enhancement both lighting and FX and a completely CGI model. The crew of Prometheus land on LV during 21st Dec after first discovering the Terraformers star map in various locations on Earth in Prometheus film is set about 30 years before Alien film. Deacon is a spy for the elusive synth liberation organization, the Railroad. Little is known about his past prior to joining the Railroad, as he readily admits to lying about his own history. Among other things, he claims that he was among the first liberated Gen-3's, that he helped found the Railroad in the s, and that he is the true leader of the organization with Desdemona serving as a figurehead. The most detailed account that he provides holds that as a youth he was a member of the University Point Deathclawsa gang that harassed accused synths.
Their antagonism escalated to the lynching of a man suspected of being a Gen Shaken by his part in the murder, Deacon left the gang to settle down as a farmer. Sometime later he married a woman named Barbara. They intended to start a family, but the UP Deathclaws reemerged and attacked the farm.
The gang had learned - to both Deacon's and Barbara's surprise - that Barbara was a synth. Enraged by her execution, Deacon butchered the gang in a bloodthirsty haze. In the aftermath of the slaughter, he was contacted by the Railroad, who was evidently unaware of his prior affiliation with the gang.
Despite believing himself undeserving, Deacon swore himself to their cause. As with most of his stories, there is no evidence to prove or disprove this claim. Sometime during or prior to December ofhe took the name "Deacon" and survived yet another Institute raid on the Railroad, with Pinky Thompson attributing the organization's survival to his escape plan.
When Pinky stepped down inhe aided Doctor Carrington and Desdemona in revising the organization's policies to put a focus on operational security. InDeacon remains one of Desdemona's top men, carrying out important missions and escorting synths of high value for the Railroad.PROMETHEUS (2012) Everything Explained
Most of his work undercover has been tracking persons of interest. When the Sole Survivor awakens from cryostasis inside Vault and starts making waves in the area, Deacon takes an interest in the traveler. He shadows them throughout the Commonwealth in order to gather information on their activities, with the hopes of recruiting them for the organization in a time of crisis.

Deacon made it's first and so far only appearance in the film Prometheus.
The Deacon appears to have the overall look of a Xenomorph Alien. However there are some major differences compared to a regular Xenomorph.
Deacon has a sharp point at the end of his head, only has an upper jaw on his internal jaw, and has no tail. Deacon's top jaw appears to have human-like teeth while his internal jaw and lower jaw have sharp jagged teeth.
Having no lower jaw on its internal jaw, makes it look as if the Deacon's internal jaw and regular lower jaw as if it is part of another mouth. Deacon is said to be born fully evolved as an adult. But since an adult version of Deacon has yet to be seen, it is unknown if that is true.

The Deacon made its debut in a pre-credits scene in the film Prometheus. Although it has yet to be confirmed if the Deacon is of any genetic relation to the Xenomorph, it can easily be assumed that the two species are related due to their similarity in appearance and their life cycles.
The Deacon bares a distinct appearance very similar to the classic Xenomorph, albeit with an erect bipedal posture which bucks tradition of the Xenomorph. Unlike the Xenomorph species, the Deacon has an elongated head that ends in a point. The creature's pointed head resembles a bishop's mitre, hence its namesake of "Deacon". Like the Xenomorph, the Deacon has no eyes.
The Deacon has three sets of teeth: the first set of teeth on the upper jaw strongly resemble human teeth and the set of teeth on the bottom jaw are pointed. The Deacon's third set of teeth slide forward and out of the mouth and are pointed like the teeth on the Deacon's lower jaw. The Deacon is a distinct blue in appearance, with an almost metallic reflection on its skin. Deacon is said to be born fully evolved as an adult.
But since an adult version of Deacon has yet to be seen, it is unknown if that is true. Deacon was the result of the Trilobite impregnating an Engineer on board the escape pod. Sign In Don't have an account?

Categories :. Home world:. Media information. First appearance:.The Hammerpede is the nickname given to the cobra-like creatures seen in Prometheus.
Though not technically a new creature, the Hammerpedes were a result of worms being dragged into the dark liquid. It was a result of David dragging them into the chamber under his feet from the Prometheus ship.
The dark liquid mutated the worms to create these aggressive snake-like creatures. In the film, Fifield and Milburn get lost in the temple after the others have returned to the Prometheus ship. They come across the Ampule Chamber and notice the dark liquid around the urns. Two Hammerpedes emerge from the liquid and Milburn becomes fascinated by one of them and moves closer.
The creature attacked him and began constricting his arm. It was strong enough to break it. Fifield then managed to chop its head off only for it to grow it back a few seconds later. When the characters find them a bit later in the film, the Hammerpede bursts out and escapes. As I said the Hammerpedes are mutated from earth worms. The dark liquid makes them exceptionally strong. They have acid for blood just like the xenomorph.
They also have regenerative capabilities. It was originally created after Holloway was infected with the dark liquid who then had sex with Shawinfecting her too. Or was it simply the act of having the sex with somebody that caused it? In the film, David reveals that Shaw is pregnant and in a matter of moments, she gets severe abdominal pain. Shaw has no choice but to perform a caesarian on herself using the MedPod.
The machine removes the creature and it resembles a squid with four legs. She climbs out of the MedPod and seals the creature in there and decontaminates it. Thinking she killed it, or rendered it unconscious, she leaves.
In the climax of the movie, Shaw finds the ejected Lifeboat and finds out that the Trilobite creature has grown to be an enormous size. The Engineer attacks Shaw and she opens the the door releasing the creature.
In the final scene of the film, it is shown the Trilobite died after it infected the Engineer. So what did we learn about the Trilobite? After Holloway infected Shaw, the creature was growing incredibly quickly inside her body just like a Chestburster embryo. It most likely would have burst out of her, killing her in the process, had she not performed a caesarian. It also grows extremely quickly into something much bigger just like the Chestburster evolves into a Xenomorph.
It still has the same features.
It can impregnate people the same way although it uses its size to subdue its victims rather than jumping onto their face like a Facehugger. It also dies after impregnating its victim. The Proto-Xenomorph, referred to as the Deacon in production, is the name of the final creature that bursts out of the Engineer in the final scene of Prometheus.
It is the result of the Trilobite infecting the Engineer. The creature emerges from the Engineer almost fully developed, skipping the Chestburster stage of the Alien Life Cycle. It could have changed a little more and perhaps got bigger with time. After all, the same thing happened with the Trilobite and the Engineer is far bigger than a human being. If you are 18 years or older or are comfortable with graphic material, you are free to view this page.

The Deacon has not yet appeared in any other films and does not yet count as being a villain. Deacon is said to be born fully evolved as an adult. But since an adult version of Deacon has yet to be seen, it is unknown if that is true. There is some confusion over whether or not the Deacon is intended to be some kind of Xenomorph, largely brought about by the script revisions mentioned above and as a result of the production team occasionally referring to the creature as a Protomorph or Proto-Xenomorph terms carried over from earlier script drafts.
Some evidence suggests the Deacon may not supposed to be a Xenomorph breed, or even a progenitor to the Xenomorph race. A mural is seen of Deacon in the Engineer Temple earlier in the film Prometheusindicating that either Deacon's birth was foretold or it is not the first of it's species. Although, that mural also resembles typical Xenomorph Drones at the same time, further hinting their connection.
The film's co-writer, Damon Lindelof, has stated, "I felt that the punchline of Prometheus was going to be that there is human DNA in what we have come to know as the human Xenomorph. The way in which it is portrayed, bursting from the chest of an Engineer, is an almost definite nod to its relationship with the Xenomorph.
The Deacon is not a creature created by a regular Facehugger impregnating an Engineer, but rather is created by a Trilobite. In the film's original script, an Engineer did become impregnated by a Facehugger, leading to an Engineer-spawned Xenomorph, although this was later changed when 20th Century Fox pressed Ridley Scott to remove the Xenomorph from the story altogether.
Despite its differences from the species Xenomorph, the Deacon shares undeniable similarities with the former species, including the use of a living host as a means of gestation. Both the Deacon and the Xenomorph also possess a skeletal frame, an elongated head and an inner-jaw although the Deacon's inner jaw is notably different to that of the Xenomorph. These similarities have likely only fueled opinions that the Xenomorph and the Deacon are supposed to be related.
In the commentary of the film Prometheus, however, the production crew and even Ridley Scott himself acknowledge the creature by calling it a form of Xenomorph. In fact, in one of the commentaries, a member of the production crew refers to the Deacon as a young Xenomorph Queen, and that it was not something intended to be created by the Engineers, but was "something new, special, totally unpredicted.
By the release of Alien: Covenant which also introduced Neomorphs, alien creatures which more closely related with Xenomorphs than Deaconsit was confirmed that Deacons and Xenomorphs are related as both are created with usage of Engineers' Ax.
